ASLF Announces October Events for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 1, 2022 – A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF) is pleased to announce the following events throughout October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Chicago Wolves (month-long)
Throughout October, $5 of every home game ticket sold will benefit ASLF. For details and tickets, click here. During the game on Friday, October 21 (against the Manitoba Moose) and Saturday, October 29 (against the Milwaukee Admirals), fans can join coaches, players and staff in wearing pink as a show of solidarity in the fight against breast cancer. Peninsula in Pink (month-long)
The Peninsula Chicago is hosting its annual Peninsula in Pink. Throughout October, a portion of the proceeds from the Pink Afternoon Tea service and Pink Lady cocktail will benefit ASLF, as will donations to the Remembrance Tree located on the hotel’s 5th floor. Click here for details.

Lilly Pulitzer Oakbrook – Saturday, October 8
Shop for a good cause! On October 8, from 10 am – 8 pm, 10 percent of sales at Lilly Pulitzer (421 Oakbrook Center, Oakbrook, IL) will benefit ASLF. For anyone not available to stop by the store that day, in-store pre-sale will be available starting Thursday, October 6.

Lunch & Learn – Tuesday, October 11
As part of ASLF’s commitment to breast health education, Co-founder and CEO Dr. Sandy Goldberg will host a breast health lunch & learn for building tenants at 333 W. Wacker Drive.

Youth Soccer Game Fundraiser – Friday, October 14
Vincent Ferrer School and St. Luke’s Elementary School will host the inaugural Lathrop Legacy Kicking for a Cause. This “Cross Town Classic,” to be held at 719 Lathrop Avenue in River Forest, IL, will bring the River Forest community together for the JV (4:15 pm) and varsity (5:00 pm) soccer games between these long-time (friendly!) rival schools. Students will raise money and make t-shirts to sell at the games to benefit ASLF.

Vaunt Fitness 3rd Annual Paint the Parking Lot Pink – Sunday, October 16
Exercise for a cause! The 3rd Annual Paint the Parking Lot Pink is a group workout event with proceeds benefiting ASLF. In addition to a high intensity workout, participants receive a t-shirt and entry into a raffle for two tickets to Bulls/Blackhawks skybox seats (food and beverage included). Publicis Sapient – Tuesday, October 18
As part of ASLF’s commitment to breast health education, Co-founder and CEO Dr. Sandy Goldberg will host a breast health presentation for employees of Publicis Sapient on October 18, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

18th Annual A Sterling Event Gala – Saturday, October 22
Join ASLF for the 18th Annual A Sterling Event Gala, as the foundation kicks off its 20th Anniversary Celebration Year. All proceeds benefit ASLF’s breast health testing programs. Click here for details and tickets.

Beth-Anne Residences 5th Annual Walk – Thursday, October 27
Beth-Anne Residences will host its 6th Annual Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Proceeds of the walk will benefit ASLF.
