ULTRA FOODS, which partners with organizations whose missions are related to breast cancer awareness, research and treatment, recently raised funds for A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF) by asking its shoppers to donate money to support ASLF’s free mammography program. Ultra Foods customers went above and beyond and raised over $18,651.94 for ASLF at the 13 Ultra Foods stores across the Chicagoland area. Pictured with the donation check are (l. to r.) The vision of ASLF is to ensure that socio-economic status does not affect an individual’s ability to obtain information, timely cancer screening and diagnosis. “We are pleased with the results of this first campaign to support A Silver Lining Foundation,” said Chris Bengtson, vice president of Ultra Foods. “We set a goal of $13,000 and blew by it through the tremendous support of our Chicagoland shoppers.”
