A month ago, I noticed a lump in my breast. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor after I noticed the lump grew in size. The doctor ordered a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. I am 28 years old, have a family history of breast cancer, and have been struggling to find work. I do not have insurance and was unable to qualify for state insurance. I need help paying for a diagnostic mammogram or ultrasound, please.

I have been unemployed but am starting to work full time again. I work for a temp agency though and I don’t have access to health insurance. I can’t afford a state insurance program at this time, but since I am 45 I would like to get a mammogram. Thanks.

I am 54 and recently had my first mammogram. It thankfully came back as negative but also with a report that I had dense breasts and that an ultrasound was needed to make sure. My mother had a negative mammogram just about 7 months ago but still felt something was not right so went for an ultrasound where cancer was discovered; she’s now had a bi-lateral mastectomy and we just found out it has metastasized at least into her liver and lymph nodes. She thankfully has good insurance. I have no insurance and have been almost entirely jobless since the pandemic started so my mom’s diagnosis has not only scared me for her but for me, too. I am hoping to find an organization that can provide me with the ultrasound as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

I can’t thank you enough for helping me financially through my time of crisis. My husband and I are used to being on the giving end and not the receiving end, but the last two years have been so financially devastating…May God bless you all as you continue to be so generous to those in need.
